8 Areas Under Signal No. 2 as Typhoon Egay Intensifies

Public storm warning Signal No. 2 was raised in Kalinga, Apayao, Isabela, Quirino, Northern Aurora, Cagayan, including Babuyan and Calayan Group of Island as Tropical Storm "Egay" (International Name: Limfa) slowed down and intensified while moving toward Northern Luzon.
According to the 5:00 p.m. weather bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Egay was moving northwest at speed of 9 kilometers per hour. It was last spotted 160 kilometers northeast of Casiguran Aurora. It is packed with maximum sustained wind of 95 kph and gustiness of up to 120 kph.
Public storm warning Signal No. 1 was raised in the rest of Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Abra and Ilocos Norte.
In a televised briefing, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said that Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, and Bicol region would also experience moderate to heavy rains because of habagat which is strengthen by Typhoon Egay.
