April 2018 Civil Service Exam Results CSE-PPT - CAR


MANILA, Philippines – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) have released the results for April 2018 Civil Service Examination - Pencil and Paper Test (CSE- PPT) which was held in different testing centers in our country last April 15, 2018. The official results were expected to be released sixty (60) days after the last day of examination (on or before June 14, 2018).

The CSC conducted a Special Career Service Examination Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on April 15, 2018 for government employees who want to apply for a permanent position, or for a promotion. The examination also includes those under job order and contract of service with government agencies to give them opportunity for possible absorption in the government service.

EXAMINATION COVERAGE

The April 2018 CSC-PPT both for Professional and Subprofessional levels covered the following topics:

Professional Level (Prof) - In English and Filipino
  • Numerical Ability (Basic Operations; Word Problems)
  • Analytical Ability (Word Association - identifying assumptions and conclusions; Logic; Data Interpretation)
  • Verbal Ability (Grammar and Correct Usage; Vocabulary; Paragraph Organization; Reading Comprehension)
  • General Information (Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees RA No. 6713, Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, Environment  Management and Protection)
SubProfessional Level (SubProf) - In English and Filipino
  • Numerical Ability (Basic Operations; Word Problems)
  • Clerical Ability (Filing; Spelling)
  • Verbal Ability (Grammar and Correct Usage; Vocabulary; Paragraph Organization; Reading Comprehension)
  • General Information (Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees RA No. 6713, Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, Environment  Management and Protection)
The CSC-PPT for Professional level covered 170 test items in 3 hours and 10 minutes while in Subprofessional test, 165 test items in 2 hours and 40 minutes.

To pass the eligibility exams, CSC said that an examinee must obtain an average rating of at least 80.00%.
