#WalangPasok: Class Suspension For July 24, 2018

Class Suspension

Due to the bad weather condition brought by the former tropical depression Josie and southwest monsoon, some authorities have announced suspension of classes for Tuesday, July 24.

According to the weather bureau, tropical depression Josie is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 585 km North-Northeast of Basco, Batanes. It has a maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 65 kph. However, it will continue to enhance the hanging habagat (Southwest Monsoon) that will bring heavy rains in the western portion of Luzon and Visayas.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure Area (LPA) is being monitored by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). It was last seen at 1495 km East of Central Luzon. It is expected to become a Tropical Depression in the next 24 to 48 hours and will be named as “Karding”.
