Due to the bad weather condition brought by the Super Typhoon Maria (International name) and Southwest Monsoon, some school administrators and local government units have announced suspension of classes for Monday, July 9.
According to the weather bureau, Typhoon Maria has maintained its strength and speed as it’s expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday morning.
Maria which will be named Typhoon Gardo once it entered the PAR have a maximum winds of 185 km/hr near the center and gustiness of up to 225 km/hr.
The weather bureau warned that the typhoon will intensify the Southwest monsoon bringing heavy winds and rains in different parts of the country particularly in the western portion of Luzon such as the MIMAROPA region and Panay Islands.
