LIVE: Warriors vs Trail Blazers Game 3

Damian Lillard and the rest of the Portland Trail Blazers will try to get out of the slump as they host the Golden State Warriors in the Game 3 of their best-of-7 NBA Western Conference Finals

Game 1

The first game of the series was a little bit sloppy as both teams combined for 35 turnovers. But, it’s already enough for the Golden State Warriors to take the first win of the series, 116-94.

Without the service of Kevin Durant, splash brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson lead the GSW with 36 and 26 points respectively.

Curry also recorded a 9/15 from three-point range making it as his 27th career game with at least 9 three-pointers. Thompson on the other hand, recorded twelve points only in the fourth quarter of the game.

The Warriors were also able to contain Portland’s Lillard and CJ McCollum limiting their damage in both inside and in the rainbow country.

Game 2

In game 2, the visiting team were able to score 65 points in the first have compared to just 50 points of the home team Warriors.

Three-point shooting is of great help for Trail Blazers in the first two quarters having 11/22 three-point field goals compared to Warriors’ 3/13.

Also, CJ McCollum scored his 16 of his 22 points in the first half.

However, the Warriors outscored the visiting team in the second half with 39-24 in the third quarter erasing the fifteen-point lead of the Trail Blazers.

In the remaining twelve seconds of the game, and with the Warriors ahead by three points, Andre Igoudala were able to secure the game with a clean stripped on Damian Lillard.
