#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions For September 18, 2019

MANILA, Philippines – Here is a list of areas where classes have been suspended for Wednesday, September 18, due to the inclement weather condition brought by Tropical Depression Nimfa, Low Pressure Area (LPA) southwest monsoon.


At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression “NIMFA” was estimated based on all available data at 725 km East of Basco, Batanes (21.1°N, 128.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is almost Stationary.

Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 95km West of Iba, Zambales (15.2°N, 119.1°E).

Southwest Monsoon or Hanging Habagat is expected to bring light to moderate rains in Central and Southern Luzon and Western Visayas.


Central Luzon

  • Angeles City – preschool to elementary (public and private)
  • Pampanga
    • Macabebe – all levels (public and private), until Friday, September 20

Ilocos Region

  • Pangasinan
    • Aguilar – all levels (public and private)
    • Alcala – starting afternoon for preschool to senior high school (public and private)
    • Bugallon – all levels (public and private)
    • Mangatarem – all levels (public and private)

Western Visayas

  • Iloilo City – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
  • Iloilo province
    • Leon – all levels (public and private)
