#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions For September 20, 2019

MANILA, Philippines – Here is a list of areas where classes have been suspended for Friday, September 20, due to the bad weather condition brought by Tropical Storm Nimfa and southwest monsoon.


“NIMFA” intensified into a Tropical Storm at 2:00 PM today.

At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm “NIMFA” {TAPAH} was estimated based on all available data at 730 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes°(22.4°N, 128.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is almost stationary. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon.

Between this afternoon and tomorrow (20 September) afternoon, frequent light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will be experienced over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Cagayan mainland, Isabela, Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya. Occasional light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and CALABARZON. Scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will affect Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Calamian Islands, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque, Camarines Provinces and Catanduanes.
