#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions For September 21, 2019

MANILA, Philippines – Here is a list of areas where classes have been suspended for Saturday, September 21, due to the bad weather condition brought by Tropical Storm Nimfa and southwest monsoon.


“NIMFA” intensified into a Severe Tropical Storm at 2:00 PM today. It is forecast to continue intensifying within the forecast period.

At 3:00 PM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm “NIMFA” {TAPAH} was estimated based on all available data at 630 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes (23.2°N, 127.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 115 km/h. It remains almost stationary. Southwest Monsoon affecting Central and Southern Luzon.

Between today and tomorrow (21 September) afternoon, the Southwest Monsoon will bring occasional light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Calamian Islands. Intermittent light to moderate rains with scattered heavy rain showers during thunderstorms will be experienced over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Provinces, and the rest of Central Luzon and northern portion of Palawan.
